Location sharing and hands-free texting lets you stay in touch with your friends while traffic updates help you find the best way to get to where you are going. You can also remotely lock your car, start your engine and if you've lost your car in the parking lot, you can even flicker the lights and honk the horn. Most importantly, and most impressively, the Blue Link SOS Emergency Assistance service can detect when you have been in a collision, locate your position and send the help you need
BLUETOOTH®. CHECK. PANDORA®. CHECK. X-BOX™. REALLY?: Hop in and your smart phone automatically syncs with the Bluetooth so you can immediately start streaming music, download your phonebook and, of course, take calls. The 7-inch touchscreen is the media nerve center of the car. Use it to check out uploaded pictures, play videos and music, and even use the available integrated navigation system to map out your next destination.
For music, you've got nothing but options. Select playlists from your phone, stream Pandora, XM Satellite Radio or use the iPod®/USB inputs. Gracenote® music ID management displays album art, and has voice recognition that allows you to choose your music by artist, album or genre.

DIRECT-INJECTED, DUAL-CLUTCHED, 40 MPG-NESS.The Veloster has a responsive 1.6L GDI 4-cylinder engine with D-CVVT, available EcoShift dual-clutch automatic transmission, a wide rear stance and a sport-tuned suspension that can make even a supermarket parking lot fun. And, at an estimated 40 MPG highway, it makes those trips fun and affordable.
Exceptional MPG: A sleek design and lightweight, direct-injected engine gives the Veloster a super-efficient MPG (highway)-even better than the pricey Honda CR-Z hybrid. Want to make sure you're getting the best gas mileage? Make a game of it. Blue Link™ allows you to compete against other drivers for the best MPG, and even offers tips and driving hints to get the most out of a gallon of gas.
Sport-tuned Suspension: A modified suspension delivers a sportier ride and increased steering response. Large front and rear stabilizer bars reduce body roll and improve handling on curves.
Dual-Clutch Automatic-Transmission: Typically found on high-end sports cars, the sophisticated 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with race-inspired steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters gives you hyper-sensitive control and makes the Veloster an absolute blast to drive.
Safety
BLUE LINK™ TAKES SAFETY TO A NEW LEVELThe amount of safety technology integrated within the Veloster is impressive, but the Blue Link service puts it over the top. Vehicle Stability Management system (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control system (TCS) and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) help you avoid collisions, while Blue Link can detect when any of your six airbags have deployed, pinpoint your location and send the help you need.
Blue Link™ SOS Emergency Assistance: The Blue Link SOS Emergency Assistance alerts emergency operators when you've been in an accident and sends the help you need. If your car is stolen, Blue Link works with authorities to locate and recover it. And even if you've simply locked your keys in the car, we can unlock it remotely so you can get on your way.
Vehicle Stability Management System (VSM): The Vehicle Stability Management system comprises a network of safety features for the Veloster. VSM monitors and coordinates advanced safety systems like Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control System (TCS) to make sure they are all working in sync, maximizing their effectiveness.
Anti-lock Braking System: Emergency braking can cause a vehicle's wheels to lock up and skid, resulting in a loss of steering control exactly when you need it most. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent the possibility of wheel lockup under hard braking, and rapidly pulses the brakes to help you retain steering control as you come to a stop.
